Description of plants

Perennial herbaceous plant of grayish color, height 10 - 40 cm. The lower leaves are gathered in a rosette at the base of the tree, and the others are alternately distributed throughout the tree. All the leaves are green on the face and silver hairy on the reverse. At the top of the tree are yellow-headed heads, collected in a shield. They bloom in June and July.

Use

Stimulates the secretion of gastric juice and bile, has an anti-inflammatory effect. Helps with bloating, liver and gallbladder disease. Helichrysum essential oil, due to its regenerative action, is used in cosmetics to care for dehydrated and tired skin. It is very useful in relieving scars, stretch marks and bruises. It is also used to protect and alleviate sunburn and skin damaged by sunlight. It works great for chronic fatigue, exhaustion and a weakened immune system. Invigorates and rests. It combines well with most essential oils, especially lavender, chamomile and citrus. It is extremely mild and can be used by children.

Collection

The flower heads are collected for making tea, when the flowers begin to open. Flower heads and part of the stem just below them are best for distillation. Distillation must be done within 24 hours of harvesting.
