Poisonous woody and up to 20 m long, with permanent green leaves and numerous roots per stem which is attached to trees and stones. At its base the stem is laid and crawling. The leaves are leathery. The upper leaves are entire along the periphery, while the lower ones are heart-shaped and divided into 3 to 5 lobes. The flowers are small, yellow-green, clustered in thyroid inflorescences. The bark is ashy gray.
Great care should be taken when using ivy. It is not recommended more than two tablespoons of chopped ivy leaf per 1 liter of water. Keep ivy berries out of the reach of children. Do not use them to make tea. The leaves and top parts of the stem are used to treat skin diseases, gallstones and kidney stones. To remove dandruff, rinse your hair with ivy tea every night.
